from winter to spring

spring seems to have sprung a little early in New Hampshire. i’m used to seeing 98345 feet of snow when i visit my parents in March. the sun’s been shining and the weather’s been in the 40s and 50s. each day, Mom and i seek out all the usual walking spots. i wore my boots today because we knew the woods would be muddy.

navigating around a lot of down trees from the last nor’easter.

we saw lots of moss. thanks moss for being green even in winter!

a large pond still frozen.

i like this pond.

there’s something about a blue, blue sky in winter or spring.

and green, green boughs.

there’s still some ice in the shady spots.

but there are crocuses blooming at home!
