a familiar landscape

if you’ve been following this blog since i started it a few years ago (you probably haven’t because this isn’t much of a blog), then you’d know that i lived in the great flat state of Illinois for a while. well, after frolicking in the woods in New Hampshire for over a year, circumstances have surprisingly brought me back to the Midwest. this time, I’m in Iowa. first impressions: there’s more hills and trees here than in Central Illinois. wind, wind, and more wind. i forgot how windy windy can be. i already found a local photoshop, a nearby wind farm, and some extra-sharp white cheddar cheese (THANK THE CHEESE GODS)! my apartment is lovely and i have a long list of new places to explore. i don’t have a job yet, but something will work itself out. new adventures, familiar landscapes. hello, Iowa.
