…….

last weekend darin and i headed over to kittery, maine where we met up with my friend liz, walked on the windy beach, and ate a snazzy lunch at the when pigs fly pizzeria. i love the beach in winter. the grey sand and rocks fit so well in a cold, windy atmosphere, and i think the water always appears an even more appealing shade of blueish green this time of year. it felt like a long time since i’d last caught a whiff of the fresh salty sea air. i heart my home state.

  1. We spent a winter in Maine a few years ago (when it snowed over 100 inches – remember that one?). We never actually saw the earth while we were there, and the ocean was frozen at the shore. You have made me miss it all the same, though. Beautiful photographs.
