…………

it’s the heavy wet stuff that weighs branches down and makes the pines look like scenery in a dr. seuss book. it was noisy in the cabin all day sunday as huge clumps of snow randomly plummeted to the ground after the branches above decided they couldn’t handle the weight. some dead branches came crashing down and i worried about all the huge pines around the cabin. this morning, however, the woods were serene and calm. the warm sun hadn’t emerged to melt away more snow, there was no hint of a breeze at all, and all the remaining new snow was at home in the trees.

  3. That top image is really lovely, as is the shot of the cabin. Beautiful stuff and makes me wish it snowed ore in Pottswood! :)
