…………..

there was a time when most of my photos revolved around garden flowers and cats. time passed, i moved to the woods, i lost my cat, and my gaze turned to forested trails, snow-covered boughs, and sunset ponds. even though we live very close to my parents and i enjoy visiting my mom and her neighbors’ gardens, i haven’t taken photos of them in a long time. yesterday, however, i thought it would be a good idea to capture these last few blossoms and bursts of color before the frost inevitably comes. i’m really glad i did because i love this set of photos. there’s something merry and wonderful about the yellowing greens, bright pinks, reds, oranges, the contrasting blue of a morning glory, and the fading warm hue of the autumn backdrop. and a friendly black cat even appeared to really get in a festive halloween spirit!
